Boys & Girls Club Gala to Honor Youth Champions, Unveil Partnership with Mariano Rivera Public Foundation

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 24, 2025) — The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle will host its 96th Annual Golf Outing and Be Great Gala on May 5, 2025, celebrating youth development and community leadership at Wykagyl Country Club.

The event, running from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., will feature a new partnership with The Mariano Rivera Public Foundation to support career pathways for hundreds of youths. The Boys & Girls Club will also announce its Youth of the Year and winners of full-ride scholarships to a soccer academy operated by the Westchester Soccer Club, a professional team in the United Soccer League’s League One.

“May 5 will be an incredibly meaningful day that announces an important career-readiness program for our Boys & Girls Club, honors inspiring youths and celebrates unwavering supporters,” said CEO Becky Mazzanobile.

The gala will honor five community leaders: Robert Gazzola, New Rochelle Police Commissioner; the Junior League of Pelham; Rick Monzon, Executive Director of The Miracle League of Westchester; Rhiannon Navin, Boys & Girls Club board member; and Justin Sherman, Major League Baseball Youth Ambassador.

“These exceptional honorees demonstrate heartfelt commitment to uplifting others and driving meaningful change,” Mazzanobile said.

The day begins with brunch at 11 a.m., followed by golf at 1 p.m. The Be Great Gala starts at 5:30 p.m., featuring a dance performance by Remington Clubhouse children. Tickets are available at www.bgcnr.org/#golf-gala, with proceeds supporting programs for over 10,000 youths served in 2024.

The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, a leader in youth development for 95 years, offers programming in academics, mental wellness, fitness, leadership, and civics across 12 school sites and two clubhouses.
