WHITE PLAINS, NY (June 16, 2025) — The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office announced earlier today an ongoing criminal investigation but would not confirm which New Rochelle City Officials were served subpoenas on Tuesday June 10, as part of a 14-month criminal probe into corruption at City Hall. Sources say New Rochelle Mayor Yadira Ramos and Executive Assistant to the Mayor Maria Pedroza-Valentin were served subpoenas. Also, said to have been subpoenaed by a Westchester County Grand Jury last were City Manager Wilfredo Melendez, Corporation Counsel Dawn Warren, former City Clerk and Board of Ethics Clerk Michelle Oliveros, current City Clerk and Board of Ethics Clerk Kim Jones.
All six officials were served before the New Rochelle City Council held a Special Meeting about a Home Rule Bill regarding Pratt Landing and the New Rochelle Naval Armory. The Special Meeting preceded the June Committee of the Whole Meeting.
The investigation by the Westchester District Attorney’s Office (WCDA) also involves the New York State Inspector General (IG) and the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC), is based on complaints made by this reporter to the WCDA, IG and PSC.
The Westchester County Grand Jury issued additional subpoenas prior to Tuesday.
