NEW ROCHELLE, NY (September 5, 2025) — The New Rochelle Youth Bureau is recruiting new members for STEP University-Elite Steppers.
Through the sport of Stepping, participants will learn teamwork, creative expression, increased skills and valuable life lessons in an atmosphere of unity and diversification.
Up to 50 youth will be selected for the “Elite Steppers” team. Students will attend practice three times per week to build skills and prepare for competitions and showcases.
New Rochelle’s Trifecta Steppers will serve as mentors for the elementary school youth and assist them with the step dancing routines.
Tryouts will be held on September 26, 2025 from 3:30pm-5:30pm at Downtown Rec. Both girls and boys in grades 3-5 are encouraged to register.
This program is funded by the Westchester County Youth Bureau Invest in Kids fund.
