  1. Selection Process
Talk of the Sound sent out ballots to 50 New Rochelle residents who were asked to select their Top 10 from the 45 stories that were determined by the Talk of the Sound Editorial Board to be candidates for story of the year (although panelists were permitted to select to cast “write in” votes).

The lists were tabulated to produce a ranking. The Top 10 vote-getters selected by the panelists were sorted by alphabetical order so as not to influence reader selections and the published as a Reader Poll (above).

Readers will be asked to vote for their choice for story of the year. The poll will close next week. We will announce the results on Talk of the Sound Radio at 11 AM on WVOX 1460 AM during our January 14th broadcast.

Quite a few noteworthy stories did not make the cut.
