NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The final report on credit recovery abuse at New Rochelle High School by T&M Protection Services dated December 3rd, 2018 included only one change from the draft report dated October 18, 2018. There was an additional exhihibit which described T&M responses to 3 questions from members of the New Rochelle Board of Education.
Q. Ms. Alvarez states she provided T&M a binder full of supporting documentation that included parent emails complaining about the software and her emails to supervisors asking for training/help/support. Is that and and if so why was that not included in the report?
A. Contents did not merit independent inclusion in the report (the binder, see content list below, did not contain parent emails and emails to supervisors).
Q. Was Ms. Alvarez given a list of the names of the 32 students with fill ins? Board wants to give her the names to give her an opportunity to address.
Yes, on July 24, 2018. This is noted in the report on pages 34-35.
Q. Did T&M attempt to speak to any of the 32 students? Especially the two in question of graduating?
A. No, T&M was instructed by Osborne not to speak to any current students. T&M attempted to speak to one current student (not in the list of 32) on the request of Mr. Hastie. This is noted in the report in Footnote 44.
