Talk about burying the lede…

The Journal News reports:

The Journal News examined school kitchen inspection reports for 2006 and 2007 and found that health inspectors gave two city elementary schools ‘unacceptable’ designations in 2007. Health inspectors also cited Jefferson Elementary School’s kitchen last year for an ant infestation.

Any chance the Journal News is going to tell us more? Which schools got cited? Anyone surprised that Jefferson School was mentioned?

When rattling of his 2008-2008 “goals” for the New Rochelle School District at an August Board Meeting, Superintendent Richard Organisciak failed to mention cleaning up infestations and health code violations at New Rochelle schools. Perhaps he was busy figuring out how to get the District out of yet another lawsuit. Well at least the District’s lawyers are being kept fat and happy. After billing the District almost $500,000 in 06-07 and over $800,000 in 07-07, the lawsuits and health code violations might push annual billings over a million dollars!
