Just got a Reverse 911 Call from New Rochelle DPW suggesting drivers should avoid Main Street over near the old Thruway Diner for the next few nights.

7.27.09 Main Street Resurfacing
Hello, this is the New Rochelle Department of Public Works with an important message regarding roadway resurfacing.
Beginning at 8 PM this evening and ending at 6 AM tomorrow morning, Main Street will be resurfaced between Allard Avenue and Pintard Avenue. This work will be repeated both Tuesday and Wednesday nights of this week. Main Street will be reduced to one travel lane per direction and will be subject to periodic short-term closures during that time.
To avoid delays, motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this work. We request your patience with both the noise and traffic conditions.
