  1. Avalon and City
    I can’t see the Avalon forking over $1 million a year. I don’t know, but I don’t see it.

Maybe asking the Avalon to maintain the library park would be more likely. They benefit directly from the park and might be willing …

Maybe sponsor a fire engine for a year?

    We’ll see, I guess.

  2. Cows already out of the Barn
Cows already out of the Barn so to speak…
Why would Avalon fork over that kind of money when they already got the tax abatement? Only if they were interested in more Avalon in New Rochelle….
Bottom line old Noam should be taking heat this was all his doing…
Us tax payers now will share the overwhelming burden of development like we have seen in New Rochelle.
This is completely irresponsible on the part of those Council Members and the Mayor/Mayors who created this. Then look over to the Mayor who enlisted his people on the IDA of New Rochelle and you see the full problem at hand. You have a Council with a 4-3 Majority, you have and IDA which doles out the PILOTS and Tax incentives at the Mayors request.. Now we sit back and enjoy the fruit of all of this..

Why not ask all the tax exempt properties for help, like Iona College, and others.

  4. How about asking all the tax
How about asking all the tax exempt properties for some help, like Iona College and others.

    1. New Fee For Non-Profits
Let Latimer & Paulin earn their money for a change. Send a home rule request to institute a public services fee for all not-for-profit organizations. These entities overpay for parcels because they are tax exempt and there is no way to stop them. They should pay the service fee to cover police, fire & sanitation which they use like every other property owner/citizen.
