  1. Sounds like it would have
Sounds like it would have been a great place for a Protest! anyone…anyone….

  2. Noam’s Hanukah Gift to New Rochelle
I think it would be appropriate for Noam to donate all of the money donated yesterday back to the City’s coffers so it can save jobs. This fundraiser appears like the bonus that many greedy bankers are getting this time of year. As the president has said, these bonuses should be postponed for another time. So given that similarity, Noam should give back these moneys back to the people. Consider it a Hanukah gift. Are you game Noam? or do you really need that money? This gesture could be worth more than you think later on.

  3. I could think of a thousand
I could think of a thousand ways to better spend my Sunday afternoon than attend this!

Maybe Noam should throw a fund-raiser for New Rochelle so we can have a zero percent tax increase this year. It amazes me at how arrogant our city leaders are to propose a 8.9% increase, now whittled down to 5.9%. Who can afford these increases? I’m not getting a raise again this year, and I bet a lot of other people are in the same boat, if they’re lucky enough to still have a job. We need real leaders in this city that don’t want to tax us to death and have the guts to make the painful cuts most households have taken already in this economy.

Noam’s going to have to ask Nita Lowey for an increase in his stipend so he can pay his own taxes. Whatever happened to the tax cap anyway?

  4. Let’s all join the party !
I would like to go and get a chance to meet the Ratners from Forest City Enterprises . Maybe they can explain their interest in the city , other than their own profiteering . I’m sure it wouldn’t take very long to hear the answer . Anyone else want to join me ?

  5. Mayor Bramson
Talk about fiddling while Rome burns.
I wonder if any of the employees who may get laid off will attend.

    1. Turn your disgust into action
It’s time to turn out the vote against the powers that have been running New Rochelle into the ground for the last 60 years. We need real people with real ideas. Let’s expose the mismanagement, cover-ups and financial mess they’ve steered us into.
