The Journal News mentions New Rochelle in one or two items per day, usually a sports score or a “police blotter” story. But today the Journal News has a rare bit of feature reporting on New Rochelle, a story on a local boxing team which relocated to downtown last summer.
Main Street was opened July 1 as a boxing and personal-training gym by Stellate, a former trainer of celebrities on the West Coast. At the same time, O’Leary was in the process of moving his small boxing team from Westchester Boxing Club in White Plains to another gym in the Bronx. He happened to pass Main Street one day and got to talking with Stellate. The owner told him to bring the team there instead. From there, it expanded rapidly.
