Goodreads is the largest social network for readers in the world with more than 3,200,000 members who have added more than 95,000,000 books to their shelves. A place for casual readers and bona-fide bookworms alike, Goodreads members recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they’ve read and would like to read, form book clubs and much more. Goodreads was launched in December 2006 with its mission to get people excited about reading. Along the way, we plan to improve the process of reading and learning throughout the world.

Goodreads is a place to tell others what you are currently reading as well as offer reviews of books you read or let folks know what books are on your shelf waiting to be read. Our hope is to get New Rochellians to share what books interest them and get ideas for books they might like to read. It’s free and fun, a great way to swap ideas on books being read here in New Rochelle.

  1. I would suggest …
The Last Algonquin by Theodore Kazimiroff

A book about Joe Two Trees, the last of his tribe and living in the Pelham Bay section of the Bronx. Sounds like it covers the late 1880s through the 1920s.

Someone recommended it to me today …

  2. I would suggest “Atlas
I would suggest “Atlas Shrugged” as the first book we read!
