The New Rochelle Firefighters are at it again! On June 6th the New Rochelle Fire Fighters will host there 6th annual Soap Box Derby. The event starts at 8:00am. This is an amazing event where girls and boys (8-16 yrs old) from the community enjoy a day together competitively racing soap box cars down Quaker Ridge Road. The winner of each class is sponsored by The New Rochelle Firefighters to race in Akron Ohio to compete against some of the best. Every year the event grows, more and more people from the community come out to see the action while enjoying hamburgers and hotdogs freshly grilled by President Gray and his team of volunteer day chefs. This is truly a great event for all, whether you are a spectator, participant, neighbor, or local business sponsor, every person gets to experience the true community feeling for the day. If you have a few moments to spare, come out a cheer for your favorite racer and enjoy a great New Rochelle community event. We hope to see you all there!
