New Rochelle resident Efrain Camargo, 18, was pulled to shore by a god Samaritan Sunday after nearly drowning in eight-feet of water at Candlewood Lake in Connecticut.

Pedro Soriano, 32, of Waterbury, CT told authorities he responded after hearing people saying a man was missing. Soriano found Camargo and, with the help of others, got him to shore. Camargo was initially unresponsive and struggling to breath. Police said Camargo responded to emergency medical treatment and was taken to New Milford Hospital.
