DPW CORRUPTION
Best of luck to Mr Coleman in his new posistion in Cortlandt. Hopefully he will have managers under him, that have much more integrity & honesty then the hand he was dealt here in New Rochelle.
Unfortunately, the timing of his departure comes, as it is said, that he is in the midst of an internal corruption investigation, involving one of the “managers” that serves under him.
The same manager was investigated previously by the Westchester County District Attorneys office under Pirros administration. The investigation went on for a while, but eventually it was dropped(some say since the manager had more dirt on bigger people in the city administration). The other theory was that the manager retained an attorney who was previously employed by the DA’s office & that the attorney had the deep rooted ties to get the whole mess scrapped.
The administration at the time, was fully aware of what was going on with the investigation and chose to do nothing at all. In fact, as the story goes, the manager was given a city owned vehicle, to use 24/7, while the investigation went on. The vehicle use only stopped, when people went to a councilman & demanded that it stop.
The administration at the time, from the former DPW commisioner, to the city manager, to the personnel director, all knew there was a problem, but they chose to do nothing.
Fast forward almost 10 years, and apparently the same “manager” is treating the city’s money as if it was their own personal bank account.
Apparently, the District Attorneys investigation, didn’t ruffle the managers feathers enough the first time around, maybe they should have a long hard look at the situation again. Seems like they have no respect for the Westchester County DA’s office, the commisioners of the NRDPW, or the citizens of New Rochelle.
Mr Coleman,if you have any credible evidence of wrong doing by this so called manager, I would hope that you turn it over to the proper authorities, (DA’S office, State AG’s office, etc), before you head off into the sunset. Please don’t leave the hard working, good citizens, with lowlifes like this.
Mr Coleman, I have actually met you a couple of times over the years and thought you were a very capable man & I am sorry to see you go, but it is understandable with some of the stuff that goes on at 515 North Ave.
Remember, this employee didn’t give a damn how they made you look. Why should you give a damn about them.
Isn’t that what public service is supposed to be all about? Looking out for the citizens & the city you serve?
Again, best of luck to you in the future…..
It’s 10PM have you felt your pothole lately
Perhaps now the potholes in the west end will be fill because as some of you know people here wait so long that they start to fill in their own pot holes in front of their homes. On the other hand, holes get fill quickly in the north end. Do you have Noam’s cell #? Why do we pay taxes?
Bye!
And good riddance! Glad I don’t live in Cortlandt Manor.
