NEW ROCHELLE, NY, August 1, 2010 — Jazzmin Lyttle-Hylton from New Rochelle, daughter of Marcia Lyttle and Ainsworth Hylton, has been selected to participate in the 2011 Miss Westchester Teen Pageant. The pageant will be held at the White Plains Performing Arts Center in White Plains, NY on September 5, 2010 at 7 p.m.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to compete in the first Miss Westchester Teen Pageant,” said Lyttle-Hylton. “I also think it’s great for Westchester.”
Lyttle-Hylton, 16, a rising junior at New Rochelle High School is very involved with charitable organizations. “I work a lot with Autism Speaks as well as AFYA in Yonkers,” said Lyttle-Hylton. “I’m especially proud of the work I do with Dream Catchers, an organization that I founded for 3rd through 5th grade girls. We work each week on leadership skills and I try to inspire them to never give up on their dreams.”
Each Miss Westchester Teen Pageant contestant will be judged in swimsuit, evening gown, and personal interview. The winner will receive many gifts and prizes including a fully-paid entry fee to the State Pageant where she will compete for the prestigious title of Miss New York Teen USA 2011.
No newcomer to pageantry, Lyttle-Hylton has been crowned Miss NY Pre-Teen 2007, Miss NY Jr. Teen 2008, Miss NY Jr. National Teenager 2009, Miss NY City Perfect Teen 2009, and Miss Empire State 2010. “I love participating in pageants,” said Lyttle-Hylton. “I like competition – I’m a very competitive person.”
