As Richard Fevang Moves to Protect His Pension, 10 Year Veteran DPW Worker Forced to Resign Over Forged Doctors Notes

Written By: Robert Cox

New Rochelle Department of Public Works sanitation worker John Paolucci,32, resigned suddenly today when confronted with evidence that he had forged notes from a doctor. Threatened with prosecution, Paolucci felt he had no choice but to submit his resignation.

Paolucci offered no excuses. “I screwed up”, he told Talk of the Sound. Paolucci worked for the DPW for 10 years.

Richard Fevang.pngWhile not excusing Paolucci, some sources in City Hall expressed dismay at the disproportionate response noting that DPW Fleet Manager Richard Fevang (left), who has a history of problems and is currently under investigation by the Westchester District Attorney’s office, continues to draw a paycheck. Word is that Fevang is considering retirement in order to protect his pension

How come the racist guy kept his job, the sex offender girl kept her job, and this poor guy has to resign?

    1. you tell me
Like I said, I am not excusing the guy but this is about the most minor offense I have ever heard of that resulted in this sort of “termination”.

We have a director of transportation for the BoE who gets blind drunk and steps behind the weel of a care, a security guard who steals a phone so she can transmit child pornography to her son, a municipal service commissioner who steals money intended for combat veterans — something that ought to merit a firing squad let along retaining his position. Shall we go on?

I wonder how some disadvantage youth or his family feels about getting locked up for 2 years for stealing $100 out of a cash register when we have people stealing tens of thousands of dollars who get nothing more than a rap on the knuckles, if that.
