  1. Re-open New Roc Ice Rink
New Rochelle ice hockey, home rink at Playland. What’s wrong with this picture?

An ice rink sits at New Roc City rotting away, it’s been three years. The City has done nothing.

Thought that they were going to build another rink at City Park by 2010. Now 2011…….or longer. What’s up with that? Nobody seems to know, if you do, why not share it with everyone?

Thanks to the many volunteers and parents that are keeping New Rochelle Ice Hockey alive, as youngsters as well as varisty players at NRHS.

  2. just sitting
A ice rink is just sitting empty in New Roc, what a shame it cant be used, it was a good asset to the community at one time. Cant skate in an arcade!

well any way, nice to see the kids having fun at Rye

  3. Just not posting but participating
I will be one of the coaches for this program. It is a great way for those interested in learning to skate and eventually to play hockey to get stated in a funfilled environment.

The program can also supply you with full equipment so there is no major initial investment for hockey gear but that is on a first come first served basis.

If you have know of a child that is interested this is great place to start a lifelong passion.

Bob, thanks for spiffing up the post.
