Four Dollars a Gallon Gas Hits New Rochelle

Written By: Robert Cox

4$GasThe Mobil Gas Station on North Avenue and Brookside near Iona College has increased the price of high octane gasoline to $4.05 breaking the significant psychological $4.00 barrier as prices have shot up across the nation in response to recent unrest in the Middle East, as if Americans needed another reason to despise Muammar al-Gaddafi.

Prices are moving so fast that there is a wide variation in prices right now. Another station was offering high octane gasoline for $3.76 on the same day.

Shopping around might save you $5 per trip to the pump. Consider an online service like http://gasbuddy.com/ to check prices.
