The Talk of the Sound switchboard has been lighting up this afternoon with question about the TV trucks parked in front of City Hall. New Rochelle is lending the use of City Hall facilities to the investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board who are working on the Bronx Bus Crash case.
NTSB Vice Chairman Christopher Hart will brief the news media on the progress of the NTSB investigation into the tour bus accident that occurred in the Bronx on Saturday morning. The briefing will be held at 5:00 pm EDT today at the New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
Media trucks should park in front of the building. The front doors will be opened at 4 pm. The briefing will begin promptly at 5 pm in consideration of the broadcast outlets that wish to carry it live.
UPDATE: The press conference is now over. The local TV stations took it live at 5:00 PM. You will be able to see more at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on all the local stations. Christopher Hart stated that today’s press conference at City Hall would be the last for this incident.
EARLIER TODAY: NTSB Agents were staying at the Radisson Hotel in New Rochelle. Most of them have checked out. Some will remain because the bus is now in the custody of the New York State Police at an “undisclosed location”.
