Main Street Boxers Fight in Golden Gloves Finals Tomorrow at MSG

The Main Street Boxing Club’s (310 Main Street, New Rochelle) three remaining representatives fight in the finals of the New York Golden Gloves tomorrow. Natalie Gonzalez (profiled 11/25/2010) faces Brittany Delgado in the 106 lb. Final. Lindsay Tolpa (profiled 1/30/2011) vies with Misato Tamegawa for the 119 lb. title. Anthony Pegues (profiled 1/3/2010) confronts Robert Fischetti in the 178 lb. Novice Final. The show begins at 7 PM at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. In other Main Street Boxing news, Kevin Rooney, Jr. makes his professional debut on April 22 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. against an as yet unnamed opponent. Kevin is a 26 year old graduate of Fordham University who works as the publicist and events coordinator for Star Boxing. He is the son of Iron Mike Tyson’s pre-Buster Douglas trainer, who will be in Kevin’s corner along with Main Street trainers Willie Soto and Ryan O’Leary.
