Look Out Wayne Gretzky, Youth Hockey Star Scores 70 Goals in a Season, Wins Tournament Championship on Overtime Goal

HockeyYouth hockey star Michael Carducci scored an amazing seventy goals this season playing for the Larchmont Mamaroneck Travel Hockey Team, capping off his run with a spectacular performance in the teams’ final game in Massachusetts.

Carducci is the grandson of Brian Collins, New Rochelle resident, former security official in the New Rochelle school system and retired Major League Baseball scout. Collins beams with pride as he talks about this grandson’s incredible hockey season.

“In a league where top players score several goals during a season, 70 goals is quite a feat,” said Collins.

The Larchmont Mamaroneck Travel won this year’s Marlboro Tournament in Massachusetts with Carducci scoring 4 of the team’s five goals in the championship game, including an overtime goal to win the final game and along with the Championship.

The team record was 32-10-2, going 22-2 in league play. The team finished the season in second place behind the Brooklyn Sharks (23-1).
