The New Rochelle police department is getting ready for a possible busy night in
the city.A couple of years ago the downtown area around New Roc City and the train station were taken over by hundreds of kids and young adults making trouble and shooting guns in the streets. Tonight is known as Gang night to many people in law enforcement last year kids and young adults went crazy in Times Square shooting people and stabbing them on Easter night. For the last few years the New Rochelle police have taken no chances and have beefed up patrols in the city.The mobile command unit has been put into place at the Anderson Street Plaza as of 12:00 p,m. this afternoon and there is a visible presence of extra officers in the area on patrol.
