Residents are reminded that for the summer months only, all garbage, recycling and bulk items must be placed at the curbside for pickup by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled day of collection. This policy is in effect between the dates of May 30 through September 5, 2011 (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
Additionally, beginning June 1, plastic containers PET coded 3-7 must be recycled along with containers PET coded 1 and 2, in accordance with Westchester County’s Source Separation Law. These include most plastic personal care and food packaging waste, such as medicine and shampoo bottles, and food and beverage containers. Also included are coded pails and buckets as well as
coded flower pots rinsed free of soil or other products no larger than 2 ½ gallons.
