A business owner in downtown New Rochelle told Talk of the Sound of a previous incident at the same location where an employee was attacked by three people in an attempted robbery. The employee fought with the attackers and was stabbed in the neck with an edged weapon. He managed to strike one of his assailants with a blunt instrument, knocking him unconscious. The other two assailants fled the scene. The employee held the first attacker down and called the police. The employee was subsequently fired.

Talk of the Sound has requested police incident reports for 635 Main Street from the New Rochelle Police Department.
