Iona College and University of Connecticut Business Schools to Hold 6th Annual Summer Symposium, “The Changing Face of Globalization”

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (June 2011) Iona College’s Hagan School of Business and the University of Connecticut’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) will present the sixth annual summer regional symposium, “The Changing Face of Globalization.

The two-day conference will be held Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25 at Iona’s LaPenta Student Union, Iona College, 715 North Ave. New Rochelle, New York. The guest speaker on Friday will be Christopher Coleman, Chief of Mediation Support Unit/Policy and Mediation Division. Department of Political Affairs, United Nations. His topic will be Globalization and Africa.

The program will continue on Saturday with a day-long series of panels and presentations on a variety of international business topics that will examine and assess the impact on the globalization of business, exploring who the winners and losers are in this unstable era, the role of technology and social media and how business leaders can be prepared to meet the challenges of this new environment.

In addition to Iona’s Hagan School of Business and the University of Connecticut’s CIBER, the Symposium is sponsored by the Planning Committee of The International Business and Economy Conference 2012.
