Residents of Brookside Place continue to suffer with continued flooding issues. The photos above taken today June 23rd show what happens within a 6 minute period of time. The sewer system cannot handle so much as a downpour of rain lasting 5 minutes or more without reaching capacity and then causing water backup into homes. The city has been aware of this problem and the Halcyon Terrace committee continues to have meetings hoping the issue will be resolved some day.
Please New Rochelle, do something to fix this problem. We love our neighborhood, we take pride in our homes, we pay our taxes and we want the problem repaired. This is sewer backup into our houses- not rain water.
