A Westchester County BeeLine Bus dumped oil in a continuous stream along the Southbound, right-hand lane of North Avenue between the Mirage Diner near Mayflower Avenue down to the Salvation Army Store near Coligini Avenue. BeeLine Bus services is operated by Liberty Lines, Inc.
New Rochelle police set up barricades and roped the area off. Crews from the Westchester County DPW and Liberty Lines dumped sand along the length of the oil slick. Even with the sand the road was still slick so drivers are advised to use caution.
