NYS Crime Stoppers Offers $2,500 Reward Regarding Multiple Armed Robberies in New Rochelle, Pelham, Mamaroneck

NYS Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for multiple armed robberies that have occurred in the City of New Rochelle, the Village of Pelham and the Town of Mamaroneck over the past few weeks.

On January 12th a Pelham commuter was approached from behind while walking home form the train on Cliff Avenue at 12:10 a.m. On January 17th a Mamaroneck commuter was approached from behind on Glenn Road near Chatsworth Avenue at 10:20 p.m. On January 29th, two females, one a student at Iona College was followed into a building on Eastchester Road and White Oak Street at 4:45 a.m. On January 31st a commuter was approached while walking home from the train on Monterey Avenue in Pelham at 8:20 p.m

In each incident the victim was approached and robbed at gunpoint by someone described as a black male, 5’10 to 6″0″ with a medium build wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing who was brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victims personal property and money.

New York State Crime Stoppers, in cooperation with the Village of Mamaroneck, Town of Mamaroneck, Town of Harrison, Village of Pelham and City of New Rochelle Police Departments is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500.00 for information directly leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or person(s) responsible for multiple armed robberies that have occurred in the Village of Mamaroneck, Town of Mamaroneck, Town of Harrison, Village of Pelham and New Rochelle over the past few weeks.

On February 09, 2012 in both the Village of Mamaroneck and the Town of Harrison a commuter walking home from the train experienced a similar robbery as occurred in Pelham on January 12, 2012 at approximately 12:10 a.m. when a commuter walking home from the train station in Pelham was approached while on First Street near Cliff Avenue by an assailant brandishing what was believed to be a hand gun and robbed of personal possessions. On January 29, 2012, two females, one a student at Iona College, were approached by an assailant brandishing what is believed to be a handgun as they entered a building on Eastchester Road near White Oak Street. The victims were robbed of personal possessions. On January 31, 2012, a commuter walking home from the train station on the 200 block of Monterey Avenue in Pelham was approached by an assailant brandishing what was believed to be a handgun and robbed of personal possessions.

In all of the robberies the suspect was described as a male, 5’10 to 6’0” in height, with a medium build (175 to 200 lbs) wearing a mask and dark clothing.

A Reward will be paid for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
