Katie Marie Butler Long of New Rochelle, on May 4, 2012, born January 2, 1926 in Central, South Carolina to Etolia (Reid) and Richard Butler. Katie graduated from New York University earning her Bachelor’s in Physical Ed. and Hygiene, and Masters in Guidance and Student Personnel. A physical education instructor for forty years in the New Rochelle Public School System. An active member of Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle, recently she attended First Baptist Church of Bronxville. Katie was married to Tuskegee Airman, Wilbur F. Long, whom predeceased her in 1998. Surviving are one daughter, Dr. Karen O. Long-Rowe; three grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandra, and Cody. Visitation Frida, 9:30-10:30am at First Baptist Church, 407 New Rochelle Road, Bronxville, NY. Services 10:30 am. Interment in Calverton National Cemetery.
