NEW ROCHELLE – Sound Shore Medical Center’s (SSMC) 21st Annual Golf Tournament & Reception was held on June 4 at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. This much-anticipated event offered nearly 300 golfers an opportunity to play the one of the greatest golf courses in the world.
In addition to playing a premiere course, golfers had a unique opportunity to enjoy the ambience of the unmatched Winged Foot Golf Club – the history, the majestic club house, the unparalleled grounds, and great food. Course Sponsor for this year’s event was Orange Pathology Associates, PC. Clubhouse Sponsors were AON Risk Services, Inc. and Peter and Mary Kalikow, Breakfast/Brunch Sponsor was Carol & Felix Petrillo; Driving Range Sponsors were Specialty Orthopaedics, LLC and The Max Group, LLC; Grand Prize Raffle Sponsor was American Express and Lexus of Greenwich and Lexus of Mount Kisco participated as the Hole in One Sponsor.
Morning and Afternoon awards were presented to categories of winners, including “longest drive and nearest to the pin”. The evening reception started with a wine tasting provided by Winged Foot Golf Club.
Then during the buffet dinner, guests were treated to a live auction with Q104.3 FM’s Jim Kerr as Master of Ceremonies. The auction featured golf outings, vacations and dining reservations for fine restaurants, including Rao’s; tickets to Spiderman, Turn Off the Dark and a lovely one-carat diamond pendant necklace compliments of Leo Schachter Diamonds.
