Library to Host “Yoga on the Green”

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

Yoga on the Green, a free community yoga event, will be held Thursday June 14, 7PM – 8:15PM on the New Rochelle public library lawn at the intersection of Lawton St & Huguenot St.

This is the third annual yoga on the green event, which is produced by Nancy Dunngallin, a local certified yoga instructor. Nancy was inspired to create the event when she was practicing in a studio on a beautiful sunny day and thought how amazing would it be if the class could be outside!

It has truly become a community event where there is live music, yogis at all levels practicing, yogis of all age and ethnicity and local musicians comfortable enough to jam with the band!

Nancy is grateful for the support from the City of New Rochelle, Bill Zimmermann and Nina Shawn Gainor from NR Parks and Recreation, Ralph DiBart of the New Rochelle Downtown BID, The Whispering Tree musicians, and Athleta for sponsoring and promoting.

EDITOR’S NOTE: While the event is being held at the park in front of the library, the New Rochelle Public Library is not the official event host. The event is privately organized with permission from the New Rochelle Parks and Recreation Department and support from the New Rochelle BID, among others.
