The New Rochelle Police Department Harbor Patrol will conduct a series of free Vessel Inspections at local New Rochelle marinas during Operation Safe ‘n Sound, June 23-24, 9AM-4PM.
Conducted in conjunction with the United States Power Squadron and the City of New Rochelle Harbormaster, participating vessel owners will receive courtesy inspection stickers from the NRPD as well as useful information and materials.
Included will be information on “Operation Dry Water”, a coordinated national weekend of Boating Under the Influence detection and enforcement, aimed at reducing the number of alcohol-related accidents and fatalities and fostering a stronger and more visible deterrent to alcohol use on the water.
