The New Rochelle Panthers consist of a group of 17 girls in sixth & seventh grade from various middle schools coming together to perform at peak level during a highly competitive Division I spring season. While playing 10 games this season, the Panthers were the only team allowing the least amount of goals allowed at 3, which is a tribute to a solid defense and the great play by their goalies.
The Panthers had a competitive division, but with the dedication to win, this team did it! They put all their hard work to the test. They began to train in the heat of the summer last year, continued in the fall, and winter and finally it all came together.
The Panthers have won their Division and are the Spring 2012 – WYSL – G12 – Division 1 – CHAMPIONS!!
As quoted from Coach Francesco Notaristefano, “In regards to the season it was great to see the girls go UNDEFEATED which is a very difficult task in a high level Division 1 program. This is a result of their hard work and dedication they put in since August.”
The team looks forward to playing together again for the 2012-2013 season.
