NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The College of New Rochelle, a Catholic College founded by the Ursuline Sisters, has announced the creation of a special award for seniors graduating from Catholic high schools. The Catholic High School Graduate Award covers up to $9,000 of tuition for any student who is accepted and enrolls in either the College’s School of Arts & Sciences or School of Nursing.

Pope Benedict XVI has proclaimed this The Year of Faith and has called upon the Catholic faithful to renew their baptismal call, witnessing each day to the Gospels so that each enters into a deeper relationship with God.

“In response to this invitation, the College is offering a special tuition award to students graduating from Catholic high schools,” says Judith Huntington, President of The College of New Rochelle. “It is hoped that this scholarship will provide the opportunity for students to extend their Catholic education in an environment that fosters a renewal of faith.”

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be nominated by their principal or guidance counselor. For further information, email scholarships@cnr.edu.
