The College Of New Rochelle Hosts Lunafest Film Festival

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Women’s Studies Committee of the School of Arts & Sciences at The College of New Rochelle (CNR) will host a on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in Romita Auditorium. Ten short films, diverse in style and content, and done by, for, and about women, will be shown.

All proceeds from LUNAFEST films at CNR will go to The Breast Cancer Fund (TBCF), a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the environmental causes of breast cancer.

Established in 2000 by LUNA, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, LUNAFEST connects women, their stories. and their causes through film. This traveling film festival spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent, funny, and thought-provoking themes.

The films will be shown in Romita Auditorium on CNR’s Main Campus at 6:30 p.m. Admission tickets are $10. Student tickets are $5 with an ID. Tickets are also available in advance online: www.lunafest.org/newrochelle.
