NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Author/glamazon, Alexia Fraser, is kicking off her Diamond Book Tour with an afternoon soiree as she discusses with fans the details of her riveting memoir, Memories of Mom. Joining Fraser during this intimate soiree will be Pam Sullivan, celebrity mother to R&B sensation and Grammy nominee, Jazmine Sullivan, Saturday, March 23, 2013. The intimate affair will be held at the swanky Just Funki Wearable Art, owned by Ronda Hamilton, from 2p.m.-5p.m on 37 Division Street, (Avalon on the Sound East), New Rochelle, NY.

Unfortunately for Alexia Fraser, her mother, Daphne Monica Spence, won’t be in attendance. The result of improper medical diagnosis and poor nursing care lead to her mother’s untimely departure. Fraser’s book, Memories of Mom illustrates the inseparable bond between mother and daughter. Memories of Mom (M.O.M.) is a poignant story about an extraordinary mother, written by a daughter who loved and cared for her during her last lap of life—and is a story of universal love, unyielding sacrifice, and compassionate role reversal.

The M.O.M.S. Soiree will be the first exciting prelude to Alexia Fraser’s Diamond Book Tour. The affair promises to be an intimate and luxurious one—with exquisite cuisine made to satisfy provided by Feisty Flavors Catering. As the event takes place, celebrity photographer, Ernest Henderson of Henderson Photography, will be on hand to capture the essence of the M.O.M.S. experience, allowing for mothers to share their precious moments with their daughters. Confirmed and invited celebrity guests include inspirational beauty queen, Logan West, (Miss Teen USA 2012), along with her beloved mother, Patricia West, and many more.

Guests will hear first hand from Pam Sullivan as she shares the strength of her bond with her daughter, Jazmine Sullivan in connection to “Memories of Mom.”

“I know that the real honoree is Ms. Fraser’s mother,” says Pam Sullivan. “She obviously left such a positive influence on her daughter that she would go to such lengths to express her love and pride for her,” she says. “Indeed, if just for my own daughter to be able to witness that love, I am privileged to attend.”

“Having Pam Sullivan as my special guest is such an honor,” says Alexia. “Her support and her relationship with her daughter, Jazmine is a reflection of her belief in a strong mother/daughter relationship. Truly, Pam is the epitome of what M.O.M. is all about. I am so humbled by her presence.”

Alexia Fraser’s Diamond Book Tour is well on its way, making its first stop in the big city at Just Funki Wearable Art. Soon thereafter, Fraser will be traveling down south to share her compelling story and to unite mothers and daughters around the state at the Shrine of the Black Madonna Book Store and Bar One in Atlanta on April 27, 2013.
