PORT CHESTER, NY (February 12, 2026) — A 21-year-old Port Chester woman was killed early Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on Boston Post Road, according to the Village of Port Chester.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., the Port Chester Police Department and Port Chester–Rye–Rye Brook EMS responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Boston Post Road in the vicinity of Olivia Street.

Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a single-vehicle crash involving a female operator who was ejected from the vehicle after it struck a utility pole. The victim was identified as Amy Josabeth Munguia, a 21-year-old resident of the Village of Port Chester.

The victim’s family has been notified.

Boston Post Road was closed to traffic for several hours to allow for emergency response operations and investigation and was reopened shortly before 8:30 a.m.

The Village of Port Chester extended its “deepest condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.” The incident remains under investigation by the Port Chester Police Department.

A GoFundMe campaign created to support Amy Munguia’s family describes her as “the light of our lives—a cherished daughter, sister, and grandchild.” The page states that she “tragically … passed away in a motor vehicle accident,” leaving her family “heartbroken and struggling to make sense of this loss.”

The fundraiser says the family is raising money “to help cover Amy’s funeral expenses and to support our family as we navigate this difficult time.” It adds, “Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.”

In a message addressed to Amy, the page reads: “Amy, you will be sorely missed, baby girl. We love you so much, Princess. Rest in the arms of our Lord, our precious Angel.”
