New Rochelle’s Ann Marie Rooney Wins the Hearts of Her Students and all of America

New Rochelle Special Education teacher Ann Marie Rooney has touched the lives of so many children, guiding and paving the way for them to achieve goals that will ultimately give them a chance to succeed educationally in their futures. This month, Ann Marie Rooney was named one of  5 winners of  the Top Teacher Search Contest on ABC’s Live with Kelly & Michael Show.  Ward Elementary has been buzzing with excitement over Ann Marie’s Award.  Today, producers from the show interviewed Ann Marie and  spent some time filming in her classroom.  This year has been filled with honors and accolades for the New Rochelle schools and this is yet another instance for the district to shine. Anne Marie is greatly loved and admired not only by her students, but by everyone who has had the chance to get to know her. She is an extraordinary asset to the special education department  at Ward and as you all can see, America felt the same way.

Nominated by the parents of student Timothy Bavosa, (pictured above on the right) Ann Marie will be joining Live with Kelly & Michael on their show within the next week or so, The official date is to be announced soon.
