NEW ROCHELLE, NY — This July 4th, cap off your holiday evening with a viewing of the grand fireworks display at the New Rochelle waterfront. Produced and sponsored by the famous Grucci family, the City of New Rochelle’s annual “Spark the Sound” extravaganza will start at 9:30 p.m., rain or shine. Optimum viewing locations include Hudson and Five Islands Parks and waterfront restaurants.

“In keeping with the traditional recognition of our Nation’s independence, we are pleased to present our annual “July 4th – Spark the Sound Fireworks” display this summer,” said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann. “We are grateful for our many sponsors, whose generosity has made this annual event possible.”

The fireworks display kicks off a month of activities in celebration of July as “Parks and Recreation Month”. From the opening of Hudson Park beach and the Beach Bar, to events such as the Wednesday night Summer Concert Series at Hudson Park beginning July 10, the New Rochelle Jazz festival on July 13 and 14, and Thursday night Music on Library Green sponsored by the BID beginning July 18, and the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade on August 3, the weeks are brimming with events and activities for all ages and interests.
