Con Edison Acquiring Echo Bay Property in New Rochelle

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

Con Edison will acquire 10,378 square feet of under water area in Echo Bay.

“We own a 100,000-square-foot parcel that is contiguous to the 10,378-square-foot parcel,” said Con Ed spokesperson Allan Drury. “The 10,378-square-foot parcel used to be under water. But the water line has moved over the years so that it is no longer under water.”

Drury said that Con Edison must file a notice on the land records because the company has performed environmental remediation on the site and to do that needs to acquire the 10,000 square feet.

New Rochelle homeowners living nearby were served notice on Thursday.

A public notice was published in the Journal News.
