NEW ROCHELLE, NY — On Saturday, July 26, Habitat for Humanity of Westchester and Empire Harley-Davidson are teaming up to put on “The Ride Home” to benefit Habitat’s strong Veteran’s Initiatives.
The Westchester H.O.G. chapter of Harley Davidson will be riding their motorcycles on a 2hr route that will pass Habitat’s Veteran’s homes and many of our current projects including community gardens, refurbished parks, and recently completed Habitat houses.
The ride will begin and end at the Empire Harley dealership, 8 Industrial Lane, in New Rochelle with an afterparty catered by Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Yonkers. Ride registration is $25 and tickets to the BBQ ONLY are $10. All proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity of Westchester.
Registration will begin at 9 AM, and the ride will begin at 11 AM. The barbecue will start at 12 noon and ends at 4 PM.
“This is a great event for us,” says Jim Killoran, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester. “Harley has a huge commitment to veterans. This ride is a fun event and will help us raise much needed support to finish homes and to hire more vets!”
