NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Public Library has obtained access to Zinio for library patrons.
This is a fabulous deal! For the price of a library card (free), NRPL is providing access to the world’s largest newsstand.
Through www.nrpl.org, NRPL patrons get unlimited multi-user access to complete digital magazines, easily viewed on most Internet-enabled devices.
There are no holds, no checkout periods, and no limit to the number of magazines you can download.
To get started, click here!
EDITOR’S NOTE: We were unable to get this to work so far, if you have better luck let us know. We’ve sent an email to NRPL to request assistance.
UPDATE: We were able to get this to work and have been able to successfully download magazines into the Zinio app on an iPhone for free. Checking out a magazine worked flawlessly but the sign up process is highly complex.

Here is another official version.
We have attempted to re-create this rather confusing process. If you see anything missing take a screen grab and let us know (robertcox@talkofthesound.com).
A few tips on signing up — assuming you are starting from scratch. You should keep notes as you go.
1. First, you will need a library card number and a PIN (the library card and PIN are your login for the entire Westchester Library System).
How Do I access my account or find my PIN?
To log into your account using the online catalog you will be required to enter your library card number and your personalized identification number (PIN) before you can view your account, place a hold, or renew items. The PIN provides greater security and privacy and is initially the last 4 digits of the telephone number on your library account.
The Westchester Library System recommends that you change your PIN to one that only you know and is easy for you to remember. You can change your PIN by logging in to your account at http://easywls.org/client/wls_catalog and clicking on the Personal Information tab. If you forget your PIN go to http://easywls.org/client/wls_catalog and click on the “Forgot Your PIN” link.
2. Enter your library card number and PIN into the login fields in the upper-right corner of the nrpl.org web site.
3. While you are logged in to the library web site, go to the Zinio landing page “within” the nrpl.org web site (it’s actually a co-branded page provided by (RBdigital Gateway) rbdigital.com which is the company the provides the magazines to the library in partnerships with Zinio.
4. Later, once you have an account you will click “Log In” but the first time you land on this page you need to “Create New Account”.
5. A pop-up window will appear, enter your library card number and press the “Next” button.
6. A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to create a new account (this would be an RGB/Zinio account). Enter your email address and a password that is at least 8 digits.
7. You should then get a confirmation e-mail from RBdigital Gateway that looks like this…
8. Click on the “click here” link to go back to the RBdigital Gateway landing page “within” the nrpl.org site.
9. Bookmark the RBdigital Gateway landing page “within” the nrpl.org site as this is where you will “check out” magazines.
10. Download and install the Zinio app on your preferred device (iPad, iPhone, Android, etc.)
iOS | Android | Win 8 | Desktop Reader (Mac or PC)
11. Once the Zinio app is installed on your preferred device, login to your Zinio account which is the same login you created as your RGB/Zinio account.
12. In your Zinio app you will see they have provided a few sample magazines for you to try.
13. Finally…the fun part…go back to the RBdigital Gateway landing page “within” the nrpl.org site and select magazines you want to check out. Once you complete the check out process just wait a moment and the magazine will be available for download within the app on your preferred device.
