NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) has named The College of New Rochelle cross country runner Jenean Igmat (New Milford, NJ/New Milford) as its Cross Country Runner of the Week, for the week ending October 19, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Igmat was the top finisher for The College of New Rochelle at the HVIAC Championships, held Sunday, October 19 at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, NY. The sophomore completed the 5k course in 24:18, good for 13th overall. Her 13th place finish was the sixth best for a CNR runner at the conference championship. The team’s fourth place finish equaled the program’s best finish in the championship meet.
This is the first time Igmat has be recognized with this honor, and the third time this season a Blue Angel has been recognized as Runner of the Week.
