WESTCHESTER, NY — Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced that Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HVRW), presented by The Valley Table magazine, returns to Westchester November 3-16. Restaurant Week gives diners the opportunity to sample dishes featuring farm-to-table and sustainable products at nearly 100 of the county’s popular restaurants.

“Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to try the best dishes at Westchester County’s top restaurants,” said Astorino. “Our unique chefs show off their amazing talent by using products grown locally during the fall harvest season. So pick up the phone, send a text, send a Tweet and tell your friends to ‘Meet Me in Westchester’ for an amazing meal at a great price. It’s something you won’t want to miss.”

HVRW gives diners the opportunity to enjoy a variety of international flavors with a local flair at an approachable price point. Three-course, prix fixe dinners are $29.95 and lunches are $20.95 (plus beverage, tax and tip).

Participating restaurants in Westchester County include well-known establishments such as The Parlor in Dobbs Ferry, 42 The Restaurant in White Plains, Restaurant North in Armonk, Tarry Lodge in Port Chester and X2O Xaviars on the Hudson in Yonkers. Joining the line-up this fall are four new restaurants, including Port Chester Hall & Beer Garden in Port Chester, Destination Bistro in Yorktown, Twisted Oak in Tarrytown and L’inizio in Ardsley. A complete list of participating restaurants is available at www.HudsonValleyRestaurantWeek.com and www.visitwestchesterny.com.

HVRW coincides with the launch of the Westchester County Farms & Orchards Visitor’s Guide, which offers visitors a list of resources – hotels, restaurants, orchards and activities – to help plan their getaway in the county during the fall. A major component of the brochure is Westchester’s highly-acclaimed farm-to-table dining opportunities. Fifteen of the restaurants in the guide are participating in HVRW. “Restaurant Week, especially Fall Restaurant Week, is by far the largest culinary event in the Hudson Valley,” said Janet Crawshaw, founder of HVRW. “During Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, chefs have the fabulous opportunity to showcase not only their restaurants, but also their fresh, creative dishes to people who may be first-timers in their restaurants.”

Restaurant Week celebrates the Hudson Valley’s agricultural heritage, distinct cuisine and diverse dining scene. Nearly two hundred restaurants from the region’s seven counties – Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Ulster and Columbia – participate in the two-week dining experience and support local restaurants, purveyors and businesses.
