NEW ROCHELLE, NY — On Saturday, November 22nd, the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce will host its 51st Annual Valenti Thanksgiving Day Parade. All are invited to attend the festivities.

Beginning at 10 AM, the fun-filled event will feature organizations, companies and bands from in and around Westchester County. With music, floats, classic and exotic cars, free giveaway goodies and a special appearance by Santa Clause himself, the Thanksgiving Day parade is one of the few premier parades just outside the heart of New York City.

To date, over 1,000 people comprised of dozens of local groups have signed up to participate in this year’s parade. Thousands of spectators are expected to line North Avenue and Main Street in New Rochelle.

Just a few of the parade’s participants include the Boys and Girls Club, the Salvation Army, Webster Bank, the Robby Morris Clown Troupe, Suburbia Roller Derby, Iona College, the College of New Rochelle, Monroe College, New Rochelle Youth Lacrosse, New Rochelle High School’s Homecoming Court, the New Rochelle Humane Society, the Giglio Bands, the Tappanzee Bridgemen Bands, the Professional Musicians of Orange County, and Peruvian folk dancers of Embajada Latina.

The parade begins on North Avenue in front of New Rochelle High School, moving South toward the Downtown. The route then turns right onto Main Street, with the reviewing stand located in front of Memorial Plaza. The parade route ends at the intersection of Main St. and Maple Avenue.

There is still time to participate! Groups with their own banner walk free. Limited space is still available–Please contact the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce to sign up. Float and vehicle options are also available.

Come join New Rochelle and Westchester County as we celebrate this season of giving thanks. We look forward to good weather, a cheerful day, and lots of fun. Not only is the parade free and open to the public, but it is just simply good wholesome fun and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning! We hope you’ll join us!
