New Rochelle Woman Charged For Unlawfully Receiving Unemployment Benefits

NewImageNEW ROCHELLE, NY — New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Hawthorne barracks charged 31-year-old Shadaviva Hall of New Rochelle, New York, with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

Hall was taken into custody by police subsequent to an investigation conducted by the New York State Department of Labor and the State Police. It is alleged that Hall collected over $14,000 in unemployment benefits which she was not entitled to. Additionally, Hall created false business records by certifying weekly that she was totally unemployed when she was gainfully employed.

Hall is scheduled to appear before the City of New Rochelle Court on December 16, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.
