New Rochelle man charged with assaulting State Trooper following domestic incident investigation

On December 21, 2014, Glen R. Lee, Jr, age 27, of New Rochelle, New York was arrested pursuant to a domestic incident that began in a motor vehicle and ended up on the roadside of I-95 in the City of Rye.
 
 While the victim was driving northbound, the defendant allegedly engaged in reckless conduct by grabbing the victim and steering wheel while the vehicle was in motion. The victim was able to stop the vehicle on the shoulder and the defendant continued to engage in physical conduct by grabbing, restraining and striking the victim with his hands. During the struggle, the defendant forcibly took the victim’s cell phone preventing her from calling 911.
 
 A witness called 911 and Troopers assigned to the Troop T barracks in New Rochelle responded to scene.
 
 Upon arrival, the defendant was not compliant, became combative and proceeded to engage in a physical altercation with the responding Troopers which resulted in one Trooper sustaining a broken ankle.
 
 The defendant was subsequently arrested and charged as follows:
 
 – Assault 2nd (D Felony)
 – Assault 3rd (A Misdemeanor)
 – Reckless Endangerment 2nd (A Misdemeanor)
 – Criminal Mischief 4th (A Misdemeanor)
 – Criminal Mischief 4th-Prevent Emergency Call (A Misdemeanor)
 – Obstruct Governmental Admin 2nd (A Misdemeanor)
 – Resisting Arrest (A Misdemeanor)
 – Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd (A Misdemeanor)
 
 The defendant was arraigned in the City of Rye Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail and scheduled to reappear on Tuesday December 23rd, 2014 at 9:00am.
