New Rochelle School Guard Watches Movies Under Coat While on Post

Written By: Robert Cox

Alex Smith is currently a security guard at New Rochelle High School. He is normally assigned to a post on the the 3rd floor. He is also assigned overtime on the first floor during Night School programs. Rather than “stand post”, Smith prefers to sit and watch DVD movies.

According to sources familiar with Smith’s record, Smith has been doing this for years. He gets away with it primarily thourgh his connection to the football program under Coach Lou DeRienzo. Smith is a member of the “chain gang” that holds the down and distance markets during New Rochelle High School football games.

Alex Smith was removed from his prior assignment at <strike>another school in the District </strike> Albert Leonard Middle School because he was caught repeatedly watching movies on his DVD player. After he was given a “final warning” Smith was found sitting in a bathroom stall watching movies on his DVD player.

Sharp-eyed readers will note that Smith has plugged in the device to a long extension cord which runs down the hallway — a fire code violation.
