Written By: Robert Cox

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Fifteenth Annual New Rochelle House Tour, which will benefit emergency children’s services at Montefiore New Rochelle, will take place Sunday, May 31. The popular annual tour will showcase five beautiful homes rich with architectural details and design dating from the 1900’s to contemporary, reflecting the rich and diverse community of New Rochelle, the Queen City of the Sound.

All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships will directly benefit emergency pediatric services at Montefiore New Rochelle.

“We are honored that the house tour organizers have selected Montefiore New Rochelle this year to be the recipient of the proceeds of the event,” said Anthony Alfano, executive director, Montefiore New Rochelle. “We look forward to making enhancements to our emergency pediatric services for residents of the community and their children as a result of this generous donation.”

House Tour co-chairs Berdie Stein and Maria Prorok, along with a committee of volunteers, are working closely with Montefiore New Rochelle to produce this event. “We are thrilled to be presenting this year’s tour with our wonderful partners at Montefiore. It’s a great partnership for us and New Rochelle. Attendees will enjoy the stunning homes our local homeowners have so graciously agreed to share for this worthwhile event,” said Berdie Stein.

Ticket holders will meet at the Oakwood Indoor Pavilion at Five Islands Park, a picturesque waterfront New Rochelle Park, where guests are invited to pick up their itineraries and box lunch, and enter a raffle to win donations from local businesses. The New Rochelle House Tour and Montefiore New Rochelle are excited to be featuring beautiful Five Islands Park, and to be working with the Department of Parks and Recreation in support of Friends of New Rochelle Parks, an affiliate partner of Friends of Westchester County Parks, Inc.

Major sponsors include Houlihan Lawrence, with offices Larchmont and New Rochelle, which has generously supported this event for years. Tickets will be available online at: www.bgcnr.com, for pick-up at The Thomas Paine Cottage Museum, at the event beginning at 11:00am.
