Michael Alfano of New Rochelle, New York receives Excellence in Scholarship and Teaching Award from Quinnipiac University

HAMDEN, CT — Michael Alfano of New Rochelle, New York received the Excellence in Scholarship and Teaching Award from the School of Education’s MAT in secondary education program at Quinnipiac University.

The award was presented May 9 during the Graduate Commencement ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.

The award recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of graduate students who have completed their programs of study.

Quinnipiac is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. The university enrolls 6,500 full-time undergraduate and 2,500 graduate students in 58 undergraduate and more than 20 graduate programs of study in its School of Business and Engineering, School of Communications, School of Education, School of Health Sciences, School of Law, Frank H.
